Thera D @ Café Musique 30/01/21
Due to timezone differences it has been difficult for me to get the chance to see Thera D perform, so when the opportunity arose this morning I stumbled out of bed, made a cup of tea and scooted over to Café Musique for what was an early show for me (5am Australian time). Thera has a sound that is so seductive and intoxicating that I soon found myself totally charmed as she sang her way through a set that had a definite love feel to it. From songs like Easy like Sunday morning, Aint no sunshine when he’s gone, Still got the blues for you, Babe (love that song) and Shania Twain’s That don’t impress me much, Thera kept it fresh and fun, engaging throughout with her audience in an amusing manner that had me chuckling to myself more than once (I am pretty sure she added someone’s name to her “who to marry next" list). Joined on stage by Michael and Henry on guitar and sax there was also the ever appealing “eye candy” factor that we girls and guys love so much (ok I am slightly biased there}. The hour went by so fast, as it does when you are enjoying yourself and all too soon, I was wiping the sand off my feet and crawling back into bed with the sound of love songs ringing in my ears. I hope that the stars align again soon so that I get to see and hear more of the delightful Thera.
