Some T Jup @ The Fern 28/04/2023
Some people own a venue for a couple of months (that would be me) some for a year. Some own multiple venues over multiple years and pour themselves in the SL music scene. If you want to meet one of the gems, you need to stop by The Fern, preferably on a Friday afternoon, like I did today. Gypsy Fairfield . . . Mrs B, has been around the SL music scene for quite a while. The Fern Jazz club is one of her current crop of venues. As you would expect from a jazz club there are musicians around, ready to jam at a moment's notice. The stage is up front, what appears to be a speakeasy behind it. The dances include some my favorite couples’ dances (Sensual is NOT sweet and slow). The ruby slipper tip jars on either side of the stage allow you to contribute to the small and cozy place to catch great shows.
Today's target is Some T Jup (Somewhereintime Jupiter) or Some to his legion of adoring fans (many of whom appear to be smokin' hot [please don't edit this out boss]). Some started today's entertainment with Christina Aguilera’s "Something's Gotta Hold On Me" and then slid into "I'd Rather Go Blind" from Etta James. He next amazed us with "Take Me To The River" from The Commitments. Some's next amazing performance was "Unchain My Heart" from Joe Cocker. Without missing a beat, he launched into the beautiful "Piano In The Dark" from Brenda Russell. It was such a pleasure to see the couples swirling around as Some's voice graced our ears. He followed this with "Yesterday" from those Liverpudlian Lads we all know.
Lately all day yesterday July has been on my mind. Some's next song is one that I've only heard performed a couple times in SL (and only Some do it) but has become a favorite of mine. This song, which I heard for the first time at Kissitulips-Alpha's memorial not long ago, caught me from the first note. Lewis Capaldi is a breakout Scottish singer / song writer. You all know his first hit, "Someone You Loved". His current single is "Pointless”, and Some makes this poignant song reach out and wrap arms around you. Make sure you request it when you get to Some's show.
After "Pointless", we heard James Ingraham "Just Once", followed by the classic "Leave Your Hat On". Some's sweet spots is in love songs, and he proved it this evening with Al Jarreau's "After All". The next piece of evidence of his talent he submitted to this appreciative audience was "Rock Me Baby" from BB King. Then the toe tapping "Almost Like Being in Love" from Natalie Cole. It would unlikely (and a bit unfair) to have a Some show without "Ol' Blue Eyes" and tonight we lucked into "Fly Me To The Moon"
This fun hour ended with a pair of hits from the King, "A Big Hunk O' Love" and "Burning Love". Throughout his show, Some T Jup displayed his professionalism and grace as a performer, working to ensure we all enjoyed the show as much as he obviously enjoyed performing for us.
Somewhereintime is here to Celebrate Life through his pure joy of singing! His melodic voice will touch your heart, expressing words through song like no other. SJ sings Ballads, Pop, R/B, Melodic Jazz, Blues, and Country. Actually, he grew up singing the blues early in his life and it helped him develop his own style to sing other types of music. He loves to sing ballads and love songs, but he can also pump it up and get you dancing too.
Somewhwere is for hire for your Venue, Private Party, or Wedding. He is also a vocalist in RL for many years and records a great deal of music.
"SL is for relaxing and having fun and so I try to make it a pleasant experience for everyone" !
Somewhere is a powerful and romantic vocalist with beautiful tone that will leave you breathless and wanting more. You will feel him forever in your heart and soul.
"I am loving my time on SL and I am here to sing for you"! I am here for the music !
