Quartz @ Starport Omega 05/04/22

Here's how I sum up the talent of Quartz: Oooooh!

Quartz is a singer, songwriter and musician with a voice that is really, very impressive. Upon my arrival to his set at Starport Omega a very SCI-Fi looking club, I was treated to "King Must Die"; a cover of Elton John's which was perfectly done with his accompaniment on the keyboard. He switched over to acoustic guitar and beautifully serenaded the crowd with "Estonia" by Marillion. Two songs I have never heard anyone attempt before in SL. He did an excellent job of both.

It's always refreshing to hear a live musician who offers variety to their sets. Quartz presents a mix of keyboards, guitar and tracks, adapting as necessary for his vocal range and ability. Songs that compliment his talent and range widely enough to keep everybody satisfied for the all too brief hour we get to spend with him.

There are a lot of male singers and musicians in Second Life and with all honesty, I'm pretty picky about who I listen to. Quartz has a great tone. He sings with a wallop; serving up power and great vocal parameters. His ability as a musician is above par. Definitely a Second Life artist worth checking out!
