Poul @ The Woolshed 17/06/21

Last night I was at one of the best Aussie venues on the grid, The Woolshed when owner Spike asked if I had ever heard Poul before...no I hadn't...OK well he is auditioning tonight so stick around, so stick around I did and I am so glad that I did because Poul is someone that everyone needs to hear. He played, maybe 5 songs in his audition and I was so excited by this new artist playing in a tricky timeslot that when his first show was locked in for tonight, I made sure to clear my first life calendar to be here. Dinner was done early, kitchen cleaned, jeans, tank and shoes on....I was ready to head out the door and be impressed.

Poul, hailing from the Philippines is a relative newcomer to SL, but not a newcomer to the live music world as he is part of a "boy" band in first life and like all things in life, not everything goes to plan. Poul had some issues with his stream and internet but he handled it like a professional, apologizing profusely while he got it sorted and delivered a set that was full of upbeat fun songs that showcased his amazing talent, not just vocally but as the professional that he clearly is.

His songs tonight included We will rock you, I'm still standing, The greatest showman (my request_ Watermelon sugar high, Uptown funk done with his cousin, another amazing performer, Arra and Lady Antebellum s American honey ( a fave country tune of mine) just to name a few.

Poul was gracious in his thanks to his audience and while he may be new to SL if tonight is anything to go by he will be here for a long time, and his fan base will grow with every show that he does.....I am certainly a fan. Thank you Poul
