Mark Taylor @ The Night Owl 20/04/21
April 20th always brings out the best in SL music, well the most mellow, and hungry. In the US 420 is a common cultural reference to marijuana. Its apparently known world wide, as the very talented Mark Taylor's song selection made many references to the "evil weed" in his amazing show at the Night Owl.
Playing live, acoustic guitar Mark killed songs from the Foo Fighters to ZZ Top. His rendition of Simon and Garfunkle's "Mrs Robinson" was an anchor in an entertaining show. In addition to delivering his captivating "Black Velvet", Tom Petty's "Last Dance with Maryjane" was a crowd favorite.
Mark Taylor has been a real life singer and acoustic guitarist for over 2 decades. He has a unique voice that grabs you and brings you into the music he is singing. He can sing everything from ballads to love songs and of course Rock'n Roll. Mark's only intention is that when you leave his performance you know you have seen a true performer.
Fortunately The Night Owl is an outdoor venue, so the contact highs were at a minimum throughout this stellar performance. I have no information on how the Night Owl at The Night Owl viewed the 420 festivities. I'd recommend stopping at this awesome place, feeding him, and asking his opinion.
You should definitely find Mark on the grid and catch one of his shows. Hopefully there isn't a drug in my immediate future.
