Jovan Buchsbaum @ The Mystic Muse 26/03/21
If you find an evening where you are bored, looking for something to do, and have tried a little of this and that, but nothing comes to mind, then check out Jovan Buchsbaum! I had the pleasure of hearing him at the Mystic Muse today, and what a pleasant surprise he was indeed!!
His rendition of "Layla" had an old school vibe to it and this vibe took me on a journey down memory lane to also hear his crooner version of the old Andy Williams tune "Autumn Leaves"! While lost in thought over these songs, he began his Leonard Cohen version of "Dance Me to the End of Love" with that same raspy voice. Seriously, if this guy was a chameleon, he'd change colors! Oh, and did I mention he has perfect diction? You will understand every word that comes from his mouth!
Following these awesome tunes, he sang "Road to Hell", a Chris Rea song, and Jovan almost makes you want to go there....almost lol. Instead, you wait and listen to "You Are so Beautiful", a Joe Cocker favorite of mine. My imagination took me to that favorite lady of mine and yours will as well. Jovan wrapped up the evening with "What a Wonderful World" and yes it certainly is! He presents a smorgasbord worth of great entertainment with his extensive song list... Listen to this guy and you won't be sorry!
