Jesika Wirefly @ BBW Heaven 13/11/2022
As I'm sure, all of us have experienced, SL is an ephemeral world. It’s a world of come and go. People, relationships, places, seem to appear and disappear at sometimes alarming rates. That makes it refreshing to find a venue that's been around a while. This past Sunday, I was excited to be take part is a SEVENTEENTH Anniversary, and this at BBW Heaven, no less. If you're not familiar with the term BBW we probably don't have much in common. In this case, the Heaven indicates more curves than a country road in West Virginia. For this anniversary celebration, the theme was Heavenly Angels, and the beach was awash in gorgeous, winged women.
If you check ownership of the infrastructure at BBW, you won't learn the indomitable force igniting the fires at BBW is the vivacious Yvie Caproni. In addition a sim filled with a variety of entertainments. For those inclined to dance, the main stage at BBW provides not one, but TWO dance machines. The large Humanoid couples balls in front include the Frankee and Angie dances. There are also Intans with a variety of dances. For those who are inclined to help support this long lived, and amazing venue, the tiki torch on the right side of the stage provide you that opportunity.
What would a celebration of 17 years of big beautiful women be without a lineup of some of the best entertainment in SL be? Among the fantastic weekend of performers I was delighted to catch the amazing performance the gorgeous Jesika Wirefly delivered. I first stumbled across Jesika abot a year ago. At that first show, I knew she had an incredible talent. Over the past trip around the sun, she's poured tremendous work into refining that talent into a high quality show. And Sunday's show was a tour de force of smoldering sensuality. From the first note of "Your Heart Is As Black As Night" by Melody Gardot the entire venue was captivated with her voice. One of the great things Jesika does is share alternative versions of popular songs, and the Post Modern Jukebox of "I Kissed A Girl" raised the temperature among the angels dancing on the sand several degrees. Our entertainer capitalized on this, launching into "All About That Bass".
Without missing a beat, Jesika graced with the Sade classic "Never As Good As The First Time" followed by flawless cover of "I've Got To See You Again" by Norah Jones. Continuing the wire us up, she shared a beautiful rendition of Madeline Peyroux's "Dance With Me To The End of Love". Not to exclude the old people in the audience she took this resident on a trip down memory lane, back to my days in El Paso, with a heart melting "Careless Whisper" from Wham! (yes, those guys). Followed by "Cold, Cold Heart", another Norah Jones tune. For her nod to the really old folks, Jesika sang "(The Long To Be) Close To You" by the Carpenters in a way that did honor to Karen, who tragically died too soon.
The later part of her show began with another Melody Gardot song, "Baby I'm A Fool", then "Hallelujah", the Alexandra Burke version from The X Factor. Demonstrating the breadth of her vocal (VOCAL, people VOCAL) skills, Jesika shared Christin Aguilera's "Something's Got A Hold On Me" and then rounded home with a pair of Postmodern Jukeobx hits, "Ex's and Oh's" and "Call Me" (featuring Tess Mohr). One of the fastest hours in SL ended with Pink's "Glitter in Air" falling all around the angels on the beach.
After a 10 year hiatus from Second life, Jesika returned to sprinkle her love of music throughout Second life once again.
Jesika sings many different styles of music. She takes songs and gives them new life with her beautiful voice. She is a naturally gifted artist who has come into SL to share her enjoyment and versatility of many genres. She is a highly talented vocalist with a heart of gold, a sense of humor and talent that totally rocks!!! Don't miss out being invited into Jesika's world, sharing her emotions, expressions and interpretations of music.
I encourage you enjoy a Jesika Wirefly show and get "Wired For Smoothness" and visit BBW Heaven.
