Gabriella Rothschild is such a talented and wonderful musician and singer. She has such a soothing and pretty voice. She started her set out with a very yearning song of Linger from the Cranberries. We continued on the show with Fucking Perfect.
When we started to head into the next song, Just the Way You Are, Gabriella said sometimes it hard for people to listen to their own voice and this sparked a very deep conversation about people in Second Life being so cruel to each other and not being able to accept each other for who they are. We all were in agreement that showing a little bit of kindness to each other is sometimes the only thing people need. We then started a conversation about people are always looking for what they need that they are always looking even though most times it's right where they can find it.
After this point Gabriella played Clocks which wow. She has such a moving rendition of this song. It's the radio edit but with the piano she adds in, it is so beautiful and well done. After this song, the show took more of a classical turn in style of music which her voice was beautiful and effortless with songs like Just Another Day, Kiss Me, and Landslide, she then did a rendition doing Stay.
After Gabirella's show, I decided to read her biography and found some great notes to know about her. Gabriella uses her voice and music to give a show of music therapy, she is pursuing her degree in real life in psychology. She believes that music can facilitate personal healing for everyone including herself.
