Dan SingsAlot @ Zack's Roadhouse 30/10/21

What a fun and wonderful Halloween weekend I have had! Now I’m not saying that I love the ghosts, goblins, and gore of Halloween, but I do love the dressing up and becoming anything or anyone in the world I want to be. So, Neo and I transformed into Christine and the Phantom from “Phantom of the Opera” Then I dragged his behind to a few different venues and wore the poor guy out partying. So off to bed Neo goes. Was this insomniac done for the night? Ohhhh noooo not a chance! Changing my costume to a witch, I donned my broom and flew over to Zack’s Roadhouse to hear Dan Singsalot!!

Zack’s Roadhouse is owned and operated by Edmond Oconnell and Bran Oconnell (branwenhunter). I met this heartwarming couple a few months ago, and being that we have the same last name, I quickly adopted Edmond as my brother from another mother. Edmond and Bran are the sweetest couple that I have met in a very long time. They work very hard to make their venue friendly and warm to all their guests. Edmond told me that Bran is a creator from way back and her creative juices are kept alive with decorating and building of Zack’s. Pumpkins, skeletons, cobwebs, and other scary creatures made for a great Halloween Party atmosphere, and the $5,000 linden prize for best costume stimulated all 51 patrons’ excitement!! (No, I didn’t win the contest – whatever happened to a little bit of nepotism Edmond? – Just kidding…)

Exciting the guests even more so, including myself, was the sensational voice of Dan SingsAlot, and yes folks, he does sing a lot!! Dan has an extensive song list that contains a variety of genres, including country 😊 I am certain that you also would be able to find something that pleases your own palette. I’m really feeling so lucky these days that I keep finding some of the most talented singers in SL, and Dan is amongst them. The part I love most about Dan’s voice is his sexy raspy tone. The man could sing the dictionary to me, and I’d be sooooo happy.

Dan began his set with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” by Green Day and that raspiness was so greatly showcased with this song. Next up was Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason”. On this song, Dan was so soulful and played a really nice guitar. Looking behind him, I noticed he had a beautiful girl guitarist, Diane SђadowⒸlαש (dianestwin), and she added some delightful color to the stage. With most of Dan’s tunes, I felt he was telling a story that touched my emotions. His song choices had great lyrics, “How Long will I love you” by The Waterboys and Ellie Goulding, “White Wedding” by Billy Idol, “Lay Down” by Melanie, and a double dose of Hank Locklin with “Send Me the Pillow You Dream On” and “Please Help me I’m falling”.

Of course, my favorite story telling song that Dan sang was Garth Brook's/Kent Blazy's “If Tomorrow Never Comes”. (I requested this tune for my Neo who was soundly sleeping and sadly missed it). “If tomorrow never comes, will she know how much I loved her? Did I try in every way to show her every day that she’s my only one?” Do you ever sit back and wonder, if the Lord calls you home tomorrow, do the people around you know how much you love them? Take some time out today to let your family, friends, coworkers or whomever is special to you know that you love them to pieces, infinitely and forevermore!

Adding to the fun side of Halloween, Dan sang “Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett/The Crypt Kickers, “Ghost Busters” by Ray Parker Jr, “Adams Family” by Andrew Gold , and “Lil Red Riding Hood” by Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs. Dan sported a big bad wolf costume and started howling which was so appropriate and entertaining for Lil Red Riding Hood.

Additional songs that Dan sang were “Bad Moon Rising” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, “Magic Carpet Ride” by John Kay, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, “Hound Dog” by Elvis Presley and “Tall, Tall, Trees” by Alan Jackson.

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Zach’s Roadhouse being entertained by Dan SingsAlot! His voice is soulful and sweet, diction is perfect, and his show left me feeling happy and wowed!! When planning your next evening of mind blowing SL entertainment, choose Dan! He’s talented, exciting, relaxing and enjoyable!! Great show Dan, loved it, and so glad I met you! Hugss

Dan’s Bio:

“Since early childhood, I was exposed to all kinds of music, from gospel to bluegrass, rock and pop. I gained a deep appreciation for diverse kinds of music, and harmony in particular. To me, music is a window to the soul conveying feelings as well as lyrical and musical information. I do my best to feel a song as I sing and hope to pass it on to my audience. If you feel it, and enjoy my performance, then I have succeeded
