Melly Faith @ Kat Vargas Memorial - MS Benefit 07/11/21

You know those people that you meet are they just so sweet, and I mean genuine sweet not like that artificial sweetener that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but sweet like cotton candy. Well in SL there is a cotton candy sweetheart called Melly Faith and today I had the pleasure of blogging her at the Kat Vargas Memorial - MS Benefit which was held very appropriately at Love Kats.

When we were first asked to cover this event and I received the lineup of artists playing I was suitably impressed, and it's one of the things that I love about SL live music, artist are more than happy to give their time for a benefit or good cause. There are no egos, its just about helping each other. I was dancing away to NeoMaximus and chatting to my fellow bloggers Trish and Neo about what a fantastic event we were lucky enough to be a part of when I glanced at the schedule on the stage and saw that Melly Faith was up next...this was a change to the original lineup that I had received. I then recalled seeing a post on FB from Rusty asking for a last minute fill in for an artist that couldn't make it. That Melly put her hand up and said "Count Me In" says a lot about her as a person. Kind and compassionate are a few words that come to mind

Messaging Neo and Trish about who would write this blog, we resorted to the good old rock, paper scissors method and I am pleased to say that my paper beat Neo's rock and my rock beat Trisha's scissors. They weren't happy but hey I won fair and square.

When Melly took to the stage she was bubbly, she was excited and she was ready to give it her all in memory of the late Kat Vargas and give it her all she did. Melly, to me, is the quintessential country girl, that cute girl next door who just loves to sing and make people happy, and make me happy she did, for her love of performing shone bright. Throughout her set Melly was continuously asking people to delve deep into their pockets and give generously to the MS society in memory of Kat and she helped raise the amount donated significantly.

Melly Faith thank you for being you and may your star continue to shine.
